How to make exe

I was wondering if there was a way to make my game into an exe file. Is this possible?

Have you tried File → Export → Windows/macOS/Linux option?

I have, but it just made a folder and not an exe. Is the exe made in the folder?

Did you choose to build the game yourself locally or did you select to have the game build by the platform?

Locally because I don’t have internet at home. Do I need internet for the other way?

The way you selected means that you have the tools needed installed to build the application.
For the other way, done for you by the gdevelop platform, you will need to have internet access to upload your game and download the .exe file.
