i’m unsure if it is a bug, but if you decide to delete all lighting in your scene the lighting layer still exists and the scene looks darker. You could delete the lighting layer to achieve a unlit scene, but maybe it is confusing a few. Especially newcomers…
i moved it to feature requests.
i don’t think it should happen automatically. Imagine you have only 1 light in the scene and delete it and then put another light into the scene.
Your background changes, and you don’t know why.
On the other hand, i have seen that question “my scene is dark even when i delete the lights” popping up multiple times already.
I think a good way would be to have a question pop up, that asks if you want to remove the light layer, when the last light in the scene got deleted.
