How do I create a double-press functionality for fast dash?

I am trying to set up a functionality that when you double press the left or right key the character will dash. Anyone has any idea how that can be done? I am trying to use a timer functionality such that when the right/left key is pressed the first time a Timer is initiated and then if it is pressed a second time between 0.5 to 1 second it is considered a double-press, but so far haven’t been successful. Any thoughts or advice?
