IHi everyone, my main hobby isphotography - I like explosions 
I’m also very new to the concept of developing games and joined today to have a go at it. Plenty to learn, I think I first need to watch some tutorials on building a basic game

Welcome to the community. The documentation is pretty solid and the tutorials on there should cover most of the things you will need to get up and running.
If you haven’t already, I would suggest joining the GDevelop discord. It’s quieter during the nights (aus/NZ times) but still quite active.
Also, there’s a growing number of YouTube tutorials coming out as the engine gains in popularity depending on what kind of games you are interested in making.
Thanks, I just joined the ‘discord’ though I never knew what that was before The lockdown should give me some time to watch some video tutorials - in the past I’ve been too impatient with programs that aren’t fully ‘intuitive’ so this will be a good time to learn.
